Fandom stockings

With all the Tumblr-refugees, I seem to have lost track of the fandom_stocking posts.
Must go and dig them out, I guess.

I want to try and gift something to every stocking, but I don't have as much time for it as I used to. I have another week of work ahead, except for the mandatory 2 days off on the 25th and the 26th, as in Christmas (which I don't celebrate). I have days off the first week of January but that's right before they go live, after my birthday on the 6th (I turn 38 on the 5th -- yes, yes, time flies when you're getting older).

I do have a fun idea for a "Have a great 2019!" card... and it can be reused so I'll probably be a wee bit lazy in that regard. Like I said, I don't have as much time for creating something personal for everyone having a stocking up there.

However, any of my flisters have a stocking up, point me in the right direction (if I haven't already found it myself) and I'll put in the appropriate effort cause you're my buddies after all.

With regards to my previous post about Doctor Who -- I MISS THE NEW DOCTOR ON MY TV (but I watch regularly on my puter) AND IT'S A SHAME THERE WON'T BE A NEW SEASON UNTIL 2020 -- WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK!?! (not counting the New Year's day episode, which I expect to be epic)

Beyond that, I'm all caught up with all my shows except Vikings, The 100 and The Last Kingdom.... and my Stargate rewatch has stalled to resembling a snail in reverse.

I didn't do the stocking thing this year because 1) I thought I wouldn't get anything and that would be embarrassing and 2) I didn't have the energy to make things and you ought to be giving some gifts if you'd like some ;) Maybe this year!

I honestly don't understand the no-new-Who until 2020 thing. Are they trying to kill the show?!

You'll always get something cause they don't like empty stockings, plus I try to put something in every stocking. Though I hope I'll be able to do so this time around, cause I haven't actually started on anything yet. =P

Re: new Who

I don't understand why they wait until early 2020. However, perhaps they want more time for filming the new series. More prep-time perhaps. I know series 11 started filming in April 2018 and finished at the end of summer. I think they filmed the new year's episode somewhere september/october perhaps. Not sure.

But I'll just have to manage the Who-less year, I guess. Once I got the DVD, I'll just watch it endlessly cause I LOVE 13 so much. =D
