And so I just enrolled into a 2-year evening course -> creator of special effects...
First up are 3D animations in Lightwave, film terms, basic animation and matte painting in photoshop.
Hopefully the courses weren't fully booked, cause in that case I can file this away under "Dreams (never going to happen)" in my cabinet. Cause next year there will be an entrance exam which they don't yet have this year.

Date: 2010-09-06 07:35 pm (UTC)Today, at work, my colleagues were discussing the courses they were going to be taking in evening school and when it was my turn they had to tell me to take it easy cause apparently I was going in overdrive. =D My enthusiasm knew no limits.

Wish there was something like that close to Antwerp so I wouldn't have to drive for an hour or longer to get the education that interests me. An hour drive doesn't seem long, but after a day of work and then after an evening of school, it is long... and dangerous when you feel like you're falling asleep.
Anyway. I'm kinda surprised they're still teaching Lightwave. The standard in the industry these days is 3DS Max or Maya. But Lightwave is a good stepping stone to those.
Have fun!! And I want to see stuff you make so I can be even more jealous :^p
