Fell In love With A Girl

Dear flist,

I need your help.

At work we have cross-stitch patterns that have names on it - like for kids and weddings (example: www.verachtert.be/LijstProducten_Engels.asp). Now, there's been much discussing about these names and why in god's name it always has to be a different one. The new bosses think it's ridiculous to constantly change them when another of our clients comes to visit. And I agree.

So, now I offered (since I'm the go-to-for-name-person) to cross reference the top 10 lists of popular first names in the different countries we have clients in. And I was hoping my flist (you) could help me there. Belgium has a yearly list of popular names, and I've found the one for Sweden as well on their official webpage with all of their statistics on it. Now, I'm hoping that you guys/girls can help me with more such lists for your own country. Preferably the most popular names from the last two years 2008-2009.

Work was .... remember Daniel in One False Step when he's angry with Jack ... that's how I felt today. And to top it all off, I did some serious overtime to catch up with what I should actually do, not the thing I did today which is not my job to do.

Oh yeah... apparently the 29th is today and a thursday - Prompts for the Kate-drabble-a-thon are still welcome cause I mixed up my days. So, extension until I say stop which is probably saturday.

There are a few delicious prompts out there but a few more wouldn't go amiss. =D

Today was the funkiest day at work I have had so far. I was working in one of the hothouses and one of the guys was there too, working on some stuff. And he had the radio on, very loud too.

We were listening to the Top 128 of all the wrong music, wrong for various reasons. My colleague sang along at almost every record and I tried not to sing along but that changed when I suddenly heard, "Star trekking across the universe...". If anyone can tell me where I can get this song downloaded, that would be awesome.

It was an awesome morning and totally wacked. And the best part he left the radio on when he left. Woohoo!!

This will never happen again but goddess it was fun! =P

I love rain cause it means I can't work outside and when one is actually working outside and has barely anything to do inside.... I got to go home early from work. Yay!

Random, I know... but I didn't want to go in the first place so that was an awesome ending to my work-day.

Today was a fascinating day at work. The weather sucked big time, and I was cold and wet. But in a weird way I had lots of fun.

I had to fix the fishingnet, and they dropped it outside in the rain so there I was, crouching on the ground tracking down holes and fix them. I looked like a green turtle with a blue head. I was stuck underneath a green coat, and I had a blue rainjacket. Absolutely ridiculous but as I said in a weird way I was having the time of my life.

I don't always like this job, more not than do, but I need the money so yeah, I'm screwed for now.

Oh, and I'm sick so sitting out in the rain all day isn't exactly good for my cold.
